Operating at the intersection of science and circularity.
We’re a Swiss-based company that operates at the intersection of science and circularity. We upcycle lignin from agricultural residues into 100% natural feed additives that make animals’ digestive systems stay balanced and protected.
Unlocking the bioactive power of lignin
Our novel ingredients made from upcycled lignin have been introduced to the feed market based on many years of experience. Their effectiveness has been proven in numerous trials and studies under different conditions.
Our subsidiary, Phytoasis Netherlands B.V., plays a central role in the distribution and marketing of our products in Europe and overseas. Our products are already registered in China, the European Union, Japan, New Zealand, the USA and Canada, as well as Saudi Arabia, and we are expanding into other regions such as South America and Asia. We have recently opened a new office in Latvia to cover Northern and Eastern Europe.
Rethinking the impact of animal feed
The global rise in meat demand comes with challenges that affect both animal health, productivity and the planet. That’s why we take on a broader approach to animal feed. The Triple Bottom Line model is the backbone of our company. It means that our products and our business are designed to have a positive social, environmental and financial impact.

We’re a part of the Tanovis group
Phytaxis is a company within the Tanovis Group – an expanding group of ventures that turns lignin’s scientific potential into tangible results. Each venture extends the Tanovis lignin platform into a new field, applying the same core technology in ways that improve animal health, advance material performance, and enhance human wellbeing.
Tanovis’ pioneering work with plant-based polymers forms the scientific backbone of our own development, giving us a proven platform to advance animal health solutions with confidence.
